Safeguarding

Marie Claire is currently a Barrister specialising in child protection law. She is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel, an accreditation which recognises her expertise in child protection law. This accreditation allows her to represent children and young people who are subject to Local Authority intervention. She has an outstanding working knowledge of child Protection procedure, the ‘Working Together (2015) inter-agency guidance for safeguarding children, as well as the Duty of Care in Sport Review (2017) prepared by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, which are the two integral guidance documents for a National Governing Body to use in relation to child protection policies.
